Dreams…?

Hello everone!!
I always believed that dreams have meanings, not all but most of them are far more than just thoughts and memories…
Today while sitting at my desk a co-worker approached me and said that last night he had a dream that i was getting married, and my wedding was being held in a huge church and there were so many people there (over 300) of all ages, at day time, It was a large event with drums beating loudly and music;
Now… i was always told that when some one dreamed of some one getting married it means a death is close by, particulary a person that the bride or groom in the dream knows? what is your opinion on this subject, could it mean something else?
The reason i ask is because about an hour after my co-worker told me the dream,my mother called and said the father of a good of mine died and the viewing is tonight.
